Bolivia, For The Ones Who Chase Wonder

Picture this. You are standing in the middle of what looks like a giant mirror, except it is actually a desert. That is the Salar de Uyuni, the biggest salt flat on the planet, and when it rains, the whole thing turns into glass that reflects the sky so perfectly that you forget which way is up. It is why Bolivia is officially on our calendar for next year.

Bolivia is not just a one trick country either. Just hours from the flats, La Paz sits inside a canyon almost 12,000 feet up, making it the highest capital city on earth. Instead of taking a taxi through traffic, you glide over the whole city in a cable car. Market stalls sell wool sweaters and herbal remedies, and the energy on the streets feels alive in a way that is hard to describe until you walk through it, yourself.

And if deserts and cities are not enough, the Amazon is right there too, with jungle lodges and river trips that feel worlds away. We cannot think of many places where you get this much range in one trip, and that is exactly why we will be there in 2027!

China, A Place That Should Have Been On Our List Sooner

Okay, can we talk about China for a second?

How has this not been on our radar sooner? Like, genuinely, what were we doing all this time?

If you need a reason to go, we have several!

There is a wall. Not just any wall. A wall so long it snakes over mountains for thousands of miles and still leaves you speechless in photos everyone has seen a hundred times over.

There is also an underground army made of clay, thousands of soldiers, each with a totally different face, waiting there for centuries.

China basically invented half the things we use daily, paper, gunpowder, the compass, printing, all thousands of years back.

And do not even get me started on the food. Numbing peppercorns, dumplings, and night markets that smell like everything you want to eat at once.

Then the landscapes get weird, in the best way. Karst mountains rising out of rivers like something drawn by hand, rice terraces carved into hillsides, pandas lounging in reserves like it is just a normal Tuesday.

Add cities like Shanghai, where the skyline seems to rearrange itself every year, skyscrapers next to temples, bullet trains flying by.

You have a country that feels ancient and brand new at once.

Basically, we have no excuse anymore. China is officially happening next year, and we cannot wait.

How Did This Stay A Secret?

Why is nobody talking about Guatemala? Somehow this place keeps flying under the radar, and honestly, it deserves better.

Imagine hiking up a volcano, only to spend the night watching the volcano next to you throw lava into the sky every few minutes. That is not a movie scene. That is a normal evening in Guatemala.

Then there is Tikal, an ancient Mayan city so massive that parts of it are still hidden beneath the jungle. You climb temples that have been standing for over a thousand years, while monkeys swing through the trees and toucans fly overhead. It feels less like sightseeing and more like stumbling into a lost world.

And then, just when you think Guatemala cannot surprise you again, you find Lake Atitlán. A lake surrounded by volcanoes, dotted with little villages where every stop feels completely different from the last. You could spend the day hopping from one town to another and somehow still leave wishing you had more time.

There is Antigua, with colourful colonial streets, old churches, rooftop cafés and volcanoes casually sitting in the background like they belong there. There is Semuc Champey, where unbelievably turquoise pools seem too blue to be real. And everywhere you go, you are surrounded by one of the world's richest living Maya cultures, from vibrant markets to centuries old traditions that are still part of everyday life.

Honestly, Guatemala feels like the kind of destination people brag about discovering before everyone else does. It has adventure, history, culture and landscapes that look photoshopped, yet somehow it still is not on enough travel bucket lists.

Maybe it is time we changed that.

The US And UK, Familiar Ground With New Stories

And then there is the familiar ground, the US and the UK, places many of our travelers think they already know. But just like Wales and the Grand Canyon taught us this year, familiarity is not the same as having seen it all. There is always another town, another coastline, another story waiting to be found close to home.
