Some people dream about one destination. Others have a list with a few countries circled. For me, the bucket list is simple: every country in the world. Morocco was another exciting chapter in that journey, but what made this trip different was the chance to experience it with people who love travel just as much as I do. Exploring a new country is always exciting, but sharing those moments with friends, both old and new, somehow makes every destination even better.
Sunrise, Dancing, and the Perfect Morning
If there is one moment that will stay with me forever, it is the hot air balloon ride over the Moroccan desert. Floating high above the landscape as the first light of day painted the desert in warm shades of gold felt almost unreal. The quiet beauty of the sunrise, the excitement of experiencing it together as a group, and the conversations shared in the basket made it unforgettable. Somehow, the morning only got better. On the drive to breakfast, the music came on, everyone started dancing, and what should have been an ordinary journey became one of the happiest moments of the trip. By the time we arrived for breakfast, the laughter had already made it feel like the perfect start to the day. If I could relive just sixty seconds from the entire trip, it would be those moments spent dancing together before breakfast, when everyone was smiling, and nothing else seemed to matter

The Morocco I Didn't Expect
One thing I never expected was how peaceful everything would feel. At times, it genuinely felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Walking between the different floors, relaxing by the swimming pools, and moving around without crowds created an atmosphere that felt more like a private getaway than a busy tourist destination. The only disappointment was having to leave early, which meant missing the train journey to Chefchaouen, Morocco's famous Blue City, and a beach day in Tangier with the rest of the group. If anything, it simply gave me another reason to return.
The Best Part Was the People
Ironically, my favourite meal in Morocco was not Moroccan cuisine. It was lamb chops and mashed potatoes, enjoyed while catching up with another traveller. The food was great, but the conversation made it memorable. That sums up what I love most about travelling with TripCooks.
